Behavior: Associates the specified collections with each content item in the list. If a collection does not already exist and the createNew flag is set on the model, the collection is created automatically. Returns a batch result with per-item status.

Authorization: Requires a valid Bearer token.

Side Effects: Creates collection-to-content associations. May create new collections if the createNew flag is set.

Error Scenarios: Returns 400 if the input is null or the items list is empty. Returns 404 if the items list is null.
