Uninstalling Nomad Media

How to request removal of Nomad Media from your AWS account.

Uninstalling Nomad Media

Uninstalling Nomad Media from an AWS account must be performed by the Nomad Media support team. The process runs a series of scripts that remove all AWS infrastructure stacks. The following resources will be deleted:

  • Code Pipelines
  • IAM Roles
  • AWS Lambda Functions
  • AWS Secrets Manager secrets
  • S3 Buckets
  • DynamoDB Tables
  • CloudWatch Logs
  • All other resources created by the Nomad Media installation

How to Request Uninstall

Send an email to [email protected] with the following information:

  1. User-generated content to retain — specify which of the following (if any) should be kept:

    • S3 buckets (specify: Content, Metadata-Content, and/or Metadata-Archive)
    • DynamoDB Tables
    • CloudWatch Logs
  2. Timing — next available time, or a specific date.

  3. Custom code — if you have custom code in the Publish or System S3 buckets, remove it before the uninstall. Those buckets will be deleted.

Once the uninstall is complete, the Nomad Media team will notify you. At that point, their IAM role access to your account will also be removed.
